Mitchell lost momentum in his last fight, losing to Ilia Topuria via submission at UFC 282: Blachowicz vs. Ankalaev back in December. Coming off a long break, Mitchell hopes to kickstart another great run inside the Octagon, Prior to his loss to Topuria, Mitchell was on a six-fight win streak, which started with his win over Tyler Diamond at the The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale in 2018.
Over that same stretch, he scored wins against the likes of Edson Barboza and Andre Fili. One thing to watch out about Mitchell is his wrestling skills. He is averaging 3.26 takedowns per 15 minutes on a 44 percent success rate in the UFC. Nearly 50 percent of his total strikes inside the Octagon have come on the ground. While he has zero KO wins to date, Mitchell has a 9-2 submission record and eight first-round finishes.
Betting on Dan Ige (+140 on DraftKings)
- Odds: +140
- Record: 17-6-0
- Age: 32
- Height: 5′ 7″

Ige has been around the UFC for quite some time and has fought several good fighters in the division, but he’s yet to score a chance for a title fight. A win against a top-10 contender in Mitchell could potentially lead to that dream scenario for the veteran Octagon warrior. Ige is on a roll, as he’s won each of his last couple of fights.
He defeated Damon Jackson via knockout last January at UFC Fight Night: Strickland vs. Imavov before scoring a unanimous decision win over Nate Landwehr in last June’s UFC 289: Nunes vs. Aldana. Ige is landing 3.96 strikes per minute. As a wrestler, Ige seems to be well-equipped to handle Mitchell’s ground game, as he also holds a 56 percent success rate in defending against takedowns.
El Jefe’s Prediction on Bryce Mitchell vs Dan Ige

Dan Ige wins via decision.
